Two people are better than One | Mark 9:38-50

This morning we will be looking at what the bible has to say about how not to treat others from Mark, then how to treat others from the book of James. It is interesting to consider in light of the Royal Commission into abuse in Care.

“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.” Ecclesiastes 4:10

Mark 9:38-50

James 5:16, 19-20

Survivors of historical abuse in the Anglican Church are encouraged to email: contact@anglicanredress.nz

Anyone wishing to make a current complaint can contact the Ministry Standards Commission registrar by email on: registrar@ministrystandards.org

Prayers & Psalms

Each Sunday, prior to the sermon we have created a space for more voices from our community; One of our children read a Psalm from ‘Psalms for Young Children’ by Marie-Hélène Delval.

Followed by a prayer, shared by a member of our congregation, focused around what's happening in the world, our country and our community. We have included these on our Prayers Page for you to revisit and reflect on the words that they shared.
