Welcome

It’s great to have you join us this morning. A special welcome to you if you are new here. We hope you’ll stay around after the service and say hi.

Kia tau te rangimarie,

Carolyn.

Today’s Service

Today we are joined by the Bishop of Christchurch, Dr Peter Carrell. Carolyn is recognised for her missional coaching within the Diocese and presented with a letter of authority, giving her licence to continue this work, supporting and encouraging other clergy with mission, until 2025.

We find out a bit about the Bishop and he takes us through the story of the baptism of Jesus.

Breaking the passage down to its 3 parts; baptism, the wilderness and mission.

The Bishop demonstrates, that just as Jesus did not stop being loved by God when he is was in the wilderness, there may be tough times following God for us, but we are still loved by Him and we are called to endure.

Mark 1:9-15
