Welcome

It’s great to have you join us this morning. A special welcome to you if you are new here. We hope you’ll stay around after the service and say hi.

Kia tau te rangimarie,

Carolyn.

Today’s service

You may have seen today, the wreath surrounding 5 candles at the front of the stage.

The candles represent the light of God coming into the world with the advent of Jesus Christ. Over the next 4 weeks of Advent we will light each candle and reflect on what they represent.

Week 1 - Hope / Tumanako, Week 2 - Peace / Rangimarie, Week 3 - Joy / Koa, Week 4 - Love / Aroha. The white candle in the centre is Christ’s Candle and represents Christ.

This Sunday we look at a passage from Isaiah chapter 4, and we are called to remember what God has done in the past, so when you look to the future, you can do so with hope.

That is the invitation of this season, a longing for God to be with us, but a knowledge that God is with us, and can transform us right now.
