Welcome

It’s great to have you join us this morning. A special welcome to you if you are new here. We hope you’ll stay around after the service and say hi.

Kia tau te rangimarie,

Carolyn.

Today’s service

Next week Advent begins. Traditionally this is also the start of the church year—the year begins with four weeks of longing for the saviour of the world to come and make creation right. This year it’s possible to relate to that feeling, as the war in Ukraine grinds on and tensions in the Middle East have bubbled over into violence and war. At home we hear stories of struggle and poverty.

Today we read The Sheep and the Goats from Matt 25:31-46, and look at what is it saying and what is it saying to us in our culture here.

St Mark’s

Yesterday St Mark’s in Marshland—the small church which is part of our parish, was broken into. This is the second time this year and this time they took almost  everything that moves, including the food collection for the city mission. It is a reminder that all is not well in our world. And so we wait for God to put the world right.

Giving

We are so grateful to all those who contribute financially to the life of the church. You are helping to ensure that All Saints can continue to thrive and grow for future generations.

If you would like to join those who give regularly, you can find all the details you’ll need on the Giving Page.
